The laboratory of Dr. Pengchun Yu in the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is seeking postdoctoral scientists.

We focus on the interface between cellular metabolism and vascular biology and have a proven track record in this field (Circulation Research, 2010; Circulation, 2012; Nature, 2017; J. Biol. The successful candidates will work on research projects that study the crosstalk between metabolic programs and angiogenic signaling and the involvement of cellular metabolism in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases. Multidisciplinary strategies will be used, ranging from novel genetically modified mouse models to cutting-edge systems biology tools including metabolomics and single-cell transcriptome analysis.

Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent (or expect to receive a doctoral degree soon).

Applicants must possess excellent experimental and communication skills.

Demonstrate solid training in cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, or mouse genetics with scientific publications. Previous research experience in metabolism is not required.
