Responsibilities

Are you passionate about creating a safe and secure environment? Join the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) and play a crucial role in safeguarding our community. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Security Services Department part-time with responsibilities spanning three key categories:

Safety & Security
• Conduct thorough foot patrols of Foundation buildings and grounds, ensuring the integrity of doors, windows, and gates.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain various security systems/equipment, including access control, video surveillance, key tracking, and alert systems.
• Swiftly evaluate and address suspicious persons, vehicles, or circumstances, taking appropriate action, including expulsion of violators as needed.
• Act as a first responder in security emergencies, coordinating responses to incidents such as fire alarms, bomb threats, medical emergencies, and more.
• Stay updated on all security policies and undergo continuous training, including weapon qualification.

Customer & Employee Experience
• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, patients, vendors, and employees, leaving a positive impression of the organization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the organization and collaborate effectively with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) Police Department.
• Monitor and manage the entrance and departure of individuals during regular business hours, special occasions, and events.

Administrative
• Run reports to analyze card activity, clearances, and other relevant data.
• Submit thorough investigatory findings and produce well-documented reports as needed.
• Prepare incident, recovered property, and daily log entries, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma/GED and one year of public safety, law enforcement or military experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CLEET ASG certification
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
- Knowledge of law enforcement policies and procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Honesty, attentiveness, and vigilance
- Ability and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

First aid and/or CPR certification strongly preferred. Specialized training in security procedures. ASIS International membership and/or APP certification is a plus.

Work Hours

Main shifts will occur Monday through Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.
