Responsibilities

The Guthridge Lab is seeking a Research Technician for the Biorepository which supports our clinical and translational research investigators. Candidates should be highly organized, motivated and team oriented. Duties will include all repository activities related to receipt, processing, storage, maintenance and records management of human blood and tissue samples related to studies and clinical trials in a CAP (College of American Pathologists) certified facility. Individual will need to be comfortable working in cold temperatures with appropriate personal safety protections and working with human samples.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or relevant field, or equivalent lab experience, is needed.

 

You should be familiar with lab techniques, computers, and databases. Good communication, attention to detail, and organization are important, along with a strong work ethic. Being a team player, friendly, and able to follow instructions is necessary. 

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in patient-oriented clinical research is a plus.

Work Hours

Typically, Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM
