Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive candidate to support the accounting department by verifying figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial processes, including invoicing, tracking payments, and ensuring compliance while maintaining organizational accuracy. Specific responsibilities include:

 

• Reconcile daily deposits, cash reports, and receipts to ensure accuracy.
• Accurately post data to accounting software and maintain organized records.
• Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements as required.
• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, confirming accurate pricing and extensions.
• Handle inquiries and questions from vendors or departments professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or a combination of education and at least one year of relevant experience.
• Excellent organizational skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel (or comparable software).
• Familiarity with accounting software and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Work Hours

Typically, Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
