Responsibilities

The Freeman Lab is currently hiring for a Research Technician who will design, perform, and analyze neuroscience experiments.

Job responsibilities will include:
• Organizing, interpreting, and communicating data to supervisor and co-workers

• Improving experimental processes
• Documenting work appropriately
• Troubleshooting experiments

• Collaborating and effectively communicating with other members of the lab

The position will work independently at times and also seek assistance from more experienced team members when needed. These studies include operating highly specialized equipment and performing advanced techniques after appropriate training. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree typically in one of the biological sciences and/or equivalent years of relevant laboratory experience.

 

Must be detail-oriented and work independently as well as a team player. Ability to work well with others is essential. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and protocols/procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to compute basic mathematical operations, i.e., rate, ratio, percent, molarity, and unit conversion. Ability to organize and perform precise and accurate work when dealing with samples and chemicals.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Previous laboratory experience.

Work Hours

Typically Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
